DemIA International Chair in Trustworthy AI and the Demographic Challenge

This International Chair is aimed at providing solutions to the different problems associated with the Demographic Challenge through collaboration between universities, companies, research centres, European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), rural and local development agencies, as well as public administration bodies.

This action plan defines a set of coordinated activities in training, research in different areas of AI, experimental developments, dissemination, and scientific-business cooperation.

Women’s and Girls’ Rights: Challenges of Artificial Intelligence

A conference will be held on the protection of women’s and girls’ rights in the face of the rise of artificial intelligence in Spain and Europe. The aim is to address the requirements demanded at the European level, both in the AI Regulation and in proposals seeking to standardize the development of general-purpose AI systems to avoid systemic risks that could compromise these rights.

Likewise, the discussion will cover the specific vulnerabilities and challenges faced by women in rural areas, emphasizing the need for AI to have reach and effectiveness in these regions
