Objectives

The main objective of this action plan is to create, implement and sustain in the medium and long term a new International Chair in Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (legitimate, ethical, and robust) aimed at providing solutions to the different problems associated with the Demographic Challenge.

This main objective can be further subdivided into the following specific objectives (SOs), linked to a set of associated key results (KRs).

SO1 – Establish a Chair with cooperation links between a universiternational companies.

KR1: Cooperation links with at least 6 AI Chairs, 32 universities, 26 reseaKRh centres, 54 companies and 27 EDIH.

SO1.1 – To define an appropriate data governance plan for the management of the lifecycle of the data used for training ML models, especially with regard to privacy and the digital rights of users.

KR1.1: The data governance plan of the Chair.

SO1.2 – To design an ethical framework, on the basis of the European Commission's Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence guidelines, that will govern the research carried out at the Chair and promote European rights.

KR1.2: Chair’s framework for Trustworthy AI.

SO1.3 – To develop lasting university-business cooperation agreements at national, European, and international levels.

KR1.3: Established cooperation links with 22 universities and 30 European and international companies outside the national territory through the EDIH network.
